Dil Bole Hadippa – Trailer – Shahid Forum Review

You’re right, Reema.. this one has really bowled me over! More so because I wasn’t expecting much, we were going ga-ga over Kaminey all the time and being pretty sceptical about DBH.
It’s a long time since I’ve seen a promo with such a lovely happy feel to it. Shahid and Rani’s cute good looks (yes, both look cute here!), expressions, the bright colours, merry humour, green fields of Punjab.. the extremely lively upbeat song completes the atmosphere. And.. Shahid is looking heart-stoppingly handsome here.
I simply can’t stop myself from watching it on repeat mode from the last 2 hours, and I want more of it.. which is definitely a positive sign for the movie! The banter between them is total innocent fun, and cracking me up. ‘Give the campetition to the black bhaislow’, Lol
The killing Shahid moments are the face close-up, when he slowly opens his eyes, cool, confident and intense.. the gilli-danda throwing scene with that mischievous smile and twinkle.. the way he winks at Rani, and finally, the calm conviction of his ‘the word defeat does not exist’ dialogue. Yes, this is definitely the old sweet Shahid back, Raj-Aditya with a dash of CDI’s SRK thrown in.. I’m so glad he can still do this! And what a contrast with Charlie. Unbelievable.
I’m really enjoying Rani’s expressions too, I’ve always admired her acting. I heartily hope this movie does something good for her. Just watch her face at the end, the stunned, impressed and pleased expression.. isn’t that just how we look when we’re staring at Shahid
Really looking forward to this movie now. And did I say Shahid is looking heart-stoppingly handsome? The guy seems to get better by the day, heaven knows how he does it.

It’s a great promo. Makes me feel a lot better about this movie. Rani and Shahid are so cute together.
Lovin the song too.
——————————

Aww, what can I say! MY OLD SWEET SHAHID IS BACK!!!!!! He so damn cute here and the chemistry between him and Rani is really cute!!
—————————

Aww, can´t get enough of this trailer watched now over 50 Times, again and again!!! I am speechless! His cute looks, smile, dancings etc. … reminded me of the old Shahid from JWM-Time!! I must confess, I love to see this movie more then Kaminey! Sorry, that is my opinion! Of course he looks damn hot as Charlie there, but what can I say? I love him in these roles, like here in DBH!!! September.. please come fast!!

Hey Mel, don’t worry your not the only one, this movie has just made me urge to watch it first, sorry guys but thats how I feel. Totally damn hot and mature Shahid in this. It’s totally gonna be blast, LOL! A true laughter therapy

That is good that I am not the only one, who feel it so!!!!!

I was on roll in the morning when I first saw the promo, so much was coming out of my mouth, but now somehow I just can’t type it all up, true excitement, hopefully i’ll settle down and comment my heart out

HADIPPA!!!! ALL DAY IN COLLEGE I COULD ONLY THINK OF THIS! WHETHER I WAS IN BIO OR ENGLISH OR MATHS ALL I COULD HEAR THE TEACHER SAY WAS “DIL BOLE HADIPPA! DIL BOLE HADIPPA!” AND THEY SHOULD SAY THAT! CUZ THE PROMO IS AWESOME!!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! THIS CAN SO BE A HIT! SHAHID IS LOOKING SO HANDSOME AND CUTE! I COULD GO ON FOREVER ABOUT HOW HE LOOKS! AND RANI IS IN GREAT SHAPE! AND SHE’S TOTALLY BELIEVABLE AS A GUY! THEY MAKE A GREAT PAIR! I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! I’VE SEEN IT LIKE ENDLESS TIMES ALREADY! NOW I GOTTA GO SEE IT AGAIN!

OH MY Shahid! The first glimpse made my heart skip a beat! It’s a nice break from Charlie and I had almost forgotten a non Charlified persona of his. Ahh, I love it! Rani looks great, I truly hope this movie brings her back. The dialogues were funny.
“You always like this this jhalli pulli or today some special occasion giving the competition to the black bhaislow?” “You think you’re very jokey” haha loved it.
Beautiful vibrant colors and the music is upbeat and catchy. I wonder if I’ll be able to stop myself from dancing in my seat at the theaters later tonight.I definitely take back my doubts on DBH; this one’s gonna be a hit .

omg!!! I just went to heaven and came back lol!!!!
I love this promo, I guess everyone’s been playing it on repeat mode!!!
Shahid in this so reminds me of our JWM Aditya, he is looking superb in those bright kurtas, just like a handsome punjabi munda!!! and Rani’s back to impress!!!! It’s so nice to see such a fresh new pair and especially when they have great chemistry!

I am loving every bit of this promo, I’m sure Pritam has prepared yet another great soundtrack as the song in the promo is already so catchy! It has a wonderful punjabi feel as well as the cricket theme. I love the bit where Shahid pulls Rani and she twirls around into his arms and also the bit where she’s got that bat or stick and is holding it to him- sooooo chweet!!!!! Shahid looks super gorgeous in that yellow kurta!!!!
—————————————————————-
Ok so here goes, after watching the trailer like 50 times, and listening to the background music million times I have finally settled down.

So firstly Ah-Mazing trailer, soo much to see, thank you YRF, so loving this trailer. Shahid he just looks awsomely hot and very mature, just loving it. For the first time we’ll get to see Shahid with ear plugs, I always wanted to see him wear ear plugs, there was one from the making of KiKo but it wasn’t in the film, so YAY, it shows true english funky look. And YAY that Shahid is from England, too good. A total england look has been given here, Shahid drinking from a water bottle, thats a classic, shows how hot us english ppl feel hehehehe! Oh my the chemistry between Shahid and Rani, its mind blowing, loving the pair, no other actress could have pulled it off, great going Rani. Btw guys we still don’t know Shahid’s name in this movie, all in suspense to know ehat it could be.

So I saw all of YRF stuff in this, some very similar to SRK, but Shahid just pulled them off way better. Anyhow getting back to the Shahid/Rani dialogue. Loving Shahid’s english, too good yaara. And Shahid’s smile just before the music starts, I think I can loop that forever, too damn cute.
Great to know that Shahid is a happy fellow right from the start, great stuff. And Rani your just too good yourself, the dialogue between them, is just so funny, especially Rani, laughing my head off. Oh this movie is gonna be a total great comedy. Can’t wait for it

So the music, well couldn’t expect anything less as its a YRF movie, too good, awsome soundtrack, listening to it at the moment. Ah the shadow of Shahid throwing the ball, showss so much, a total strong guy, who can def manage a team. And the run, thats where the SRK copy was, you know in K3G, same right, but Shahid’s legs show a lot more a total strength of a hunk. And the eye opening, with the soft hair flick by the air, oh drooling guys, and Shahid’s entrance aaahhhhhhhh. Loving the punjabi munda. I always love it when he wears shalwar kameez, too hot. Love that look, it totally suits him. Oh yes that reminds I forgot to add the scarf that he wears at the beginning, loving that too. Scarves, shalwar kameez and waist coats look fab on Shahid, just way too cool. Don’t worry I like him in others aswel, but my favs have to be these.

And then we get Shahid’s dance move, groove like a Punjabi Shahid, amazing, again with the scarf touch. How he moves, I def will have to edit this promo and have his dance scenes put together, there are way too much, too irrestable.

Ok so I think i’ll be here forever so forwarding the promo until the eye wink, ok so you can def tell that is my fav clip, my avi, many thanks to Vinz, your an angel dear, LY! The wink with the smile, oh i’m crying out of joy. There are a lot of Shahid cute smiles, ooohhhhhh, i’m hyper venterlating guys, plz help, i’m so gonna faint. Oh and the stone shot (ok I don’t know what it’s called) same like JWM but way better as its better close with an awsome smile given with it. :D Ok and the best move shown by Shahid has to be at (1:41) the side jump, insanely awsome.

Again to the start scene, oh my did I laugh when he said ’special occasion’ JWM again, I think most of the dialogues in this movie is gonna be Shahid’s own lines. With the given hand gestures oh ho, acting way smarter that Rani are you Shahid heheheh And the end well as I said before Shahid looks way mature and a great leader. His dialogue aproach is strict and firm to his belief, but well shown I must say. Oh am I loving the hair flick, this time with a lot of movement, too freaking awsome. My heart is pacing at a 1000 mph rate guys, DBH has got me ill instant
—————————————————

Opening up to the typical Hindi scene, a couple riding on a truck filled with hay and a few buffalos.

Shahid’s at one end and Rani at the other. The ease with which Rani chews her sugarcane and stares at Shahid really shows the bubbliness of her character. The man’s a complete stranger, yet she’s comfortable with shouting at him, “YOU FROM ENGLISH?!”

Shahid is the typical cool dude. He’s not snobby, per se, but has certain mannerisms that really portray him as a British desi boy. He listens to his iPod, drinks water from his water bottle, and has an impeccable sense of fashion right from the first scene of the promo itself. When he smiles and responds to Rani, you can tell that Shahid’s a really nice guy. If he was rude or snobby, he would have immediately ignored Rani’s Punjabi accent and mannerisms. I am extremely happy that Shahid didn’t try to fake a British accent because he would have fallen flat on his face. It is too difficult to imitate without parodying it. Shahid’s English was clear and well-spoken, but not overly accented.

Rani is the epitome of beauty plus innocence, and exudes a fresh personality which the audience will crave to see more of. She dances her heart out and seems to develop a cordial friendship with Shahid very quickly. Rani’s dialogue delivery is quite remarkable, especially when she says “I jano-ing English” after Shahid teasingly tells her that he knows Hindi. Shahid, of course, looks immensely sweet when he smiles back at Rani’s broken English.

Just seeing the image of Rani holding the cricket bat and one can tell that here’s a girl one should NOT mess with. It’s not exactly threatening, but I expect her to be somewhat like Geet…fighting back when she needs to. The entire film looks extremely colorful, with hundreds of dancers dressed in every shade imaginable of pink, yellow, red, blue, and green.

Again, Shahid “The Cool Dude” returns when he lightly throws his cricket ball up in the air. And those two little strands of hair sticking out. Haha.

Rakhi Sawant’s Nautanki acts will definitely be a treat to watch. She’s a very good dancer and it seems like the entire town is there to watch. The lush green fields with women carrying baskets. The atmosphere of Chandigarh seems to be peaceful but tons of fun, as portrayed by these visuals.

Short shots of Rani and Shahid opening their eyes just show how gorgeous both of them really are. While Rani looks like she’s showing off her beauty, Shahid seems like he’s attacking his cricket team with his confident stare and straight mouth. His skin tone is darker than usual, which makes sense because he would be spending a lot of time in the sun if he was a true cricket player.

Rani’s eternally beautiful hair flip will be a shot to remember from this film. She looks carefree and happy and younger than she ever has. Shahid looks like an authentic Punjabi, cool and sexy, in the yellow kurta and gives a glance at the camera with a slight smile…a shot that pierced through my heart.

Rani looks absolutely stunning running after her white dupatta, and I wonder if Shahid will be at the receiving end. Shahid and Rani both seem to be fun-loving, dance-all-day personalities, with Shahid dancing at the fair and Rani dancing backstage during Rakhi’s Nautanki act.

May I say, Shahid and Rani, you both deserve applause for the shot where Shahid spins you in. What chemistry! I can just feel the temperature rising as Shahid gives Rani an intense stare and holds her. I don’t blame Rani for being open-mouthed, and if Shahid closed my mouth with that stroke, I think I would faint on the spot! Truly one of the most romantic shots in the trailer.

The next few shots all reinforce the idea of a fun film with dancers and spotlights. Rani, Anupam Kher, Rakhi Sawant, and Dalip Tahil all personify the type of film this is: a celebratory one. Sherlyn Chopra, I must say, looks like the ideal sexy UK model. I tried picturing her with Shahid, and they might actually make for a sizzling couple. I just hope that she acts as well as she’s looking. I have a feeling Sherlyn will be playing up to a lot of stereotypes in her “model” role, just to make this a stronger comedy.

Mika Singh’s vocals immediately take over the trailer as we watch Shahid dance amongst blue cloth in his yellow kurta. The Punjabi lyrics fit perfectly with the film, and the tempo is just right. Pritam has done quite a good job with the track. Shahid and Rani make for one heck of a dancing team. One of my favorite shots in the entire trailer is when Shahid and Rani are sitting on the truck with many others, Shahid wearing an orange kurta and the ideal Punjabi chappals, Rani wearing a simple, but pretty salwar suit. I can sense from this shot itself, Rani is falling in love with Shahid. Both look like they’re having the time of their lives.

I can’t wait for these dance numbers as they promise to light up the screen. Rani tauntingly tilts her head towards Shahid and points her finger at him as he pushes his head towards hers while dancing. Rani and Shahid will most likely have a few disagreements throughout the movie as is hinted here.

Shahid’s classic wink. What can one say? He looks innocent, sweet, and happy. Even showing off his big ol’ dimples for the camera. Rani’s shocked look is classic: hilarious and exaggerated.

Another favorite shot of mine is where Shahid is smiling his dimples off his cheeks with red cloth tied to his head and Rani gives him an okay sign. Aaj tu bada raam tang, kitna kamaal de! For some reason, I notice that both of them are smiling bigger than usual. Shahid’s dimples typically show when he’s smiling big, and Rani looks like she’s about to laugh. Both look so sweet here. Again, the chemistry is unimaginable. I never thought Shahid would have chemistry like this with a 31-year-old woman. It just goes to show you that Shahid really is the ultimate romantic hero of this generation.

Rani holds a danda up to Shahid’s neck, in a threatening, but amusing manner. A playful smile twinkles from both Rani’s and Shahid’s lips. Shahid’s smile, especially, is sweet, but sexy at the same time. Interesting thing to notice is that Shahid is extremely casually dressed, while Rani is wearing an elaborate pink outfit. It seems as though Rani is attending some sort of event, but I wonder how Shahid came into play. All sorts of possibilities are popping into my head, one being that Shahid snuck over to see Rani, and she’s teasing him that he’s not supposed to be there.

Another exciting shot of Shahid and Rani partaking in a dance. Shahid looks absolutely confused when Rani hits his nose. The height difference is clearly notable here, but it makes it all the more amusing. Rani’s wearing another white salwar, and it makes me wonder as to whether I was right about Shahid catching Rani’s white dupatta for her.

Shahid playfully smiles, pulling back his launcher. I immediately wonder who he’s aiming at. It seems like it is from the same time as when Rani held the danda to his chin. Is Shahid aiming at Rani? Or did Rani catch him trying to hit someone? All of this will make for quite a funny situation, I presume.

Rani looks adorable with the little Sardar children, spinning with her yellow umbrella. As I said, a super dance team in Rani and Shahid, and as they do another step together, this time hitting each other with their shoulders, I can tell that I was right. Rani’s long, flowy orange skirt is one to envy, and Shahid is carrying off his pink shirt very well.

I can see another song in form, and for some reason, Sunidhi Chauhan’s vocals come to mind. Rani and Shahid are taking a walk alongside countless Punjabi women. Rani seems to be entertaining Shahid, as he casually walks with her. It seems that this will be another moment drawing him closer to Rani.

The fall. Rani falling on Shahid. Brilliantly executed. I can just see this coming. Rani is talking to Shahid on the truck, and as she mockingly walks up to Shahid, possibly impersonating someone, the truck jerks and she falls on him. Shahid’s horrified and shocked expression is to be commended.

A sunset walk sounds very romantic, but it doesn’t seem like this couple is playing up to that stereotype. Rani is in her own world as Shahid walks in front of her on a small strip of land while the sun sets. Next, we see Shahid and Rani sitting in a humongous pile of hay, with Rani pointing at something in the sky. Shahid looks amused as Rani seems to be bantering on. I don’t expect this to be an Aditya-Geet relationship, however, because Shahid definitely is clever and outgoing with his responses in the film. This hay shot is so carefree that I feel like the couple is in their teens!

Shahid looks absolutely hilarious riding his huge bike with Rani walking alongside. Rani seems to be modernizing herself, this time wearing an elongated skirt and a T-shirt. Shahid on the other hand is switching back between his “British” clothes and his Punjabi clothes. Quite a Britabi he makes!

The pair is absolutely in sync dancing to a Punjabi tune, and although lively, this scene seems less colorful than the fair scene. The next few shots are all of songs, with Rani spinning in an orange outfit and a wider shot of what I called the “lively-but-less-colorful” dance. A circle of people around Shahid and Rani is somewhat of a metaphor for the film: the whole film is centered on Shahid and Rani…and again, celebration in the form of dance.

Shahid’s light shoulder-to-shoulder gesture to Rani is subtle, but definitely causes Rani to turn to him. If a close-up shot of the two follows this shot, then we will definitely see another amazing romantic shot because Shahid is known for his intense stares at his co-stars with a smile playing on his lips.

Shahid does this great dance move amidst all the color. Truly he is one to stand out in a crowd. This reminds me that the choreography is done by Vaibhavi Merchant, the same person who gave Shahid three of his best dances: Aaja Ve Mahi, O Makhna Ve, and Gustakh Dil. All three were done by Shahid and co-stars who fell a bit short in the dancing department. This time, however, DIL BOLE HADIPPA has many dance numbers, and Rani is known for her dancing. The sequences promise to be even better, and hopefully will shed new light on Shahid’s dancing capabilities.

The “Nautanki” set is elaborate and artistically excellent. This time, however, rather than Rakhi Sawant being on the stage, there are two main dancers: one in an orange outfit and another in brown.

I can imagine the next shot being shown throughout the promotion of the film: Rani holding up her cricket bat as a sign of victory with a crowd of fans behind her. Rani seems to be intent on playing cricket, even in her colorful salwars, and her hard work shines.

Another comical moment with great dialogue delivery. Shahid brings about a new side to his character. He calls out to Rani as if she’s insignificant, and as we know, not all first meetings start out in the best manner. Shahid is absolutely hilarious as he undergoes a long series of expressions while executing his dialogue. His gestures with his hands and his water bottle emphasize the amusement of the word “jhalli bulli.” Reminiscent of the Jab We Met dialogue, Shahid asks Rani here if today was a special occassion where she has a ‘campatition’ with the black ‘bhainslows’. Shahid himself it seems is having a hard time not laughing, and I don’t know how anyone could stop themselves from laughing at this. His pronounciation of the word ‘competition’ is rib-tickling. Rani looks confident and falsely smart as she responds proudly, “You think you’re very jokey?” I can just imagine Shahid rolling in the hay with laughter after this dialogue.

The introduction of Rani as the sardar came in late in the promo, and it was just as well. Too much emphasis on Rani dressed up as a man would bring DBH unncessary attention and raise insignificant questions. Rani looks confident, and she will definitely be able to pull this look off. She has a naughty glimmer in her eyes that is unmistakable.

Shahid is absolutely composed and sanguine as he takes over his position as the cricket team’s captain. As expected, his character is like a split personality. Fun-loving and jovial when with Rani, but strict and hard when being a cricket captain. The sunglasses around his neck are somewhat queer, but that can be excused. “Ek aisi team jiski dictionary mein the word defeat does not exist.” Strong dialogue delivery and marked improvement, Shahid. Kudos to you! I can see that the writers have not totally dismissed the fact that he’s from the UK by mixing in a line of English after a line of Hindi. Very well done.

Rani, again, looks determined and strong as she tries to make her position on the cricket team. The light shuffling of Shahid’s shoe arises a certain feeling in one’s heart because what comes next is expect: a close-up shot of his face. I must say, that is the sexiest hair flip I have ever seen, and Shahid looks H-O-T HOT! A certain meanness to his eyes, and one can tell: he’s serious about his game. Rani tightens her grip on the cricket bat and looks at Shahid’s hard, confident glare. Shahid has encountered a marked difference in his acting capabilities within this film itself. He has switched from being the typical Hindi film “chocolate boy” to the ever-strong “athletic man,” quite effectively. Rani also has undergone changes, in more ways than one. For one, her woman character seems to be a difficult one in itself because she has to pretend to have a Punjabi accent and significantly mix up Punjabi, Hindi, and English. Next, she’s playing a male character, who is an amusing one. Always one with a twinkle in “his” eyes.

Knowing both Rani’s and Shahid’s acting capabilities, I am sure from the trailer itself that the two will take us all on a fun-filled journey in the heart of Punjab. Romance, dance, comedy, and as an extra bonus, the backdrop of cricket. I’m very happy that this trailer was a departure from typical Yash Raj trailers filled with rona-dhona. This is NOT a rona-dhona film and will not pretend to be one. The title itself arises excitement as will the film. Once, many years ago, Rani said that the only thing Kareena had that she didn’t was Shahid. Well, Rani, now you have Shahid, as well, and may I say, the two of you are brilliant together! DIL BOLE HADIPPA!
————————————————–

I just couldn’t stop myself! I felt like the promo deserved it. And also I doubted this from the beginning, so partly guilt
But now, I’m SO majorly crazy for this movie

OK guyz. Finally am able to connect into SO.Feels like great relief. I was dying to comment on this promo. OK…hold your breaths. Here goes.
——————————–

First of all, I never thought that DBH could be this great. WHAT A TRAILER!!!!! I was expecting that the trailer would have Rani dressed up as a guy shown throughout the trailer to give more hype to her come-back and to make people talk about Rani more than Shahid. Honestly, I was being a little scared about this fact, after having seen the wallpaper which had Rani dressed up as a Sardar. I mean the wallpaper was really cool and I loved it but I was scared that Shahid’s role could not have much impact compared to Rani’s. But little did I know what was in store for us and I am feeling super-excited now . The trailer is wonderful, fantastic, mindblowing,…all that being underestimated words for the way the trailer looks. Shahid and Rani share an awesome chemistry. I really doubted how they would look together on-screen, but this is a big surprise. They look really great together. Maybe it’s because of their personalities in the story. Shahid looks like this fun-loving soft natured guy, yet very serious and strict as a cricket coach/captain. Rani is again fun-loving and full of life and a total Punjab Kudiye . The way Shahid speaks is funny, so is Rani. Each time I watched the trailer I couldn’t help smiling when Shahid says ‘U always like this jalli pulli…or today some special occasion giving the KAAMpetition to the black bhaislow’. He has simply excelled himself like never before. What a dialogue delivery!!!!! And the way he teases Rani’s broken English pronounciation is soo funny….’KAAM-petition’…lol. And the way he points his fingers and his eyes turns sideways while saying ‘black bhaislow’…..OMG…that was simply awesome. It’s a new Shahid over there…the funside of him. For some reason I feel that this is how he is in real life as well(of course with his close friends)…and that makes me SCREAM out of joy……’YAYYYYYYYYYY, I know how Shahid is in real life’. Rani is again really funny the way she speaks broken English ‘I jaanu-ing English’….hahaha…..that was brilliant

This is where I got to scream………..OMG OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGG OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG !!!!!!!!!!!!! Shaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahiddddddddddddddd…………he looks sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute. And I have always wondered whether he could outdo his cuteness ever again. If he looks sooooo cute as Guddu in Kaminey, he looks totally cute in a completely different way in DBH. The cuteness he has in DBH is somewhat similar to how he was in the Levi’s signature ad. He is just fantabulously cute in each and every scene. There are too many scenes where he looks extraordinarily cute .
Besides it was soo funny the way he comes close to Rani, looks at her romantically, and then closes her jaw-dropped lips together with his finger. That was first class comic romance . And also look at how luscious his lips look at that moment . And then when they showed his running legs, my heart just skipped a beat and went DHAK DHAK DHAK DHAK DHAK…because there was hotness in his runnning style itself!!!!!! Coincidentally, the music also had a mild background beat when his foot touched the ground while running….that added to my heart beat as well . What an introduction for our Shasha!!! And his dance!!!!!!!!!!!!! Woahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh……MINDBLOWING…..what an energy!!!:D . It’s nice to see Shahid in Punjab costumes again after in JWM Nagada song. And boy oh boy…he is amazing in the Punjabi dance

OMG OMG OMG….I really need to breathe now having said all these. Final verdict, this movie is gonna rock rock and rock!!! I just hope that YRF has a plan of a good promotional strategy. And ohhhhhh….ohhh…the music…EXCELLENT…..Punjabi song at its best!!!! YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY….Pritam has done it again

There is much more that I might have missed mentioning but being the smart Shanatics we are, I am sure you all would have observed every inch detail in the trailer.
———————————————–

AHHH!! i just ssaw it!!
OMG shahid looks so good! and rani looks goregous…
aww im so excited now!!

OMG SHAHIDDDDDDDD!!!!!!!! I passed out when I saw the poster, and died after seeing the promo!!
I saw it last night, and couldnt sleep again! Thanks for dark circles, Shahid
Oh and I was trying to get on SO, but it was spazzing lol
BUT AHHHHHHH HE LOOKS SOOO FINE! THE COLORFUL KURTAS AND THE BHANGRA! *faints*
Rani-Shahid’s chemistry looks HOTTTT! Rani looks beautiful! I had no expectations from this movie whatsoever! and now I CANT WAITTT!
——————————————-

Oof, I love the beginning. Shahid ? cool calm collected as ever with a touch of superiority. Like that he is from England but is also a Desi boy =) Water bottle & earphones ? Accurate depiction The first thing I noticed was SCARVES! Hehee. Love his fashion sense. Rani, she outdid herself. She is quite a nosey and cheerful character. The conversation between them is funny! With her broken English and his standard language. I Janoing in Enghish…. and this…black baislow. And his laugh
Did you guys notice when she asks ?You from English? and next when they show Shahid, his earphones are like all removed as if he knew Rani is going to ask him or something. I mean they should have shown him removing them. Anyway, off the point.
Then for an audience who don?t know the storyline, her with a bat is quite a menacing shot. This is a ladki who knows what she wants and then the silhouette of Shahid with the ball. Gauranteed I cant see his face, but boy does his silhouette look hot!
Shahid?s leg, for some reason this is reminding me of the horse scene in Kaminey and from kKish. How I wish to be that sneaker! Boy oh boy where they open their eyes. Oh-my-___. You can see the breeze slightly blows his hair strands. Confidence is shining through his eyes alright.
Out of this, Rani looks beautiful in these shots. Love all the dance sequences. Nagada style, loving it ? can see all the more of Shahid in his glory. Oof and that pink shirt he is wearing. PINK is the new black
Ooh and the whole turn and spin scene. The jaw drop scene..*shivers* i am getting chills here. His facial expressions are oh so intense when he closes with the tip of his fingers and his subtle smile ?Baby, I make you fall? . You cant blame her.
I love all his outfits. Especially the yellow kurta. HANDSOMENESS. Classic Punjabi style. No one would ever doubt he was from England!
HIS WINKE HIS WINK HIS WINK! I melted into chocolate! Oh how I missed that wink and his playful smile he gives to her. Most of all his adoring dimples! *swoon* Rani?s surprised expression made me giggle…hehee.
I am assuming he is wearing that red turban for the first time and Rani just shakes her head giving him a thumbs up and Shahid returns it with a BIG smile!
Hahah, I love it when she jumps up into the air. I think she scored a six!
When she holds that…err (Stick? ) beside his chin. DID you see the smile on his lips. Now that?s the definition of the sexy smie and the chemistry is incredible.
The one where he is aiming with a catapult or something. IS HE WEARING A SLEEVELESS Shirt. I can practically see his muscles oomphing.
The whole crash scene. SU-WEET. I can only imagine the response of them afterwards. Whether they would be still and gazing into each others eyes or maybe if Shahid is doing that and suddenly Rani sees herself feeling something for him and just quickly pushes him to the side while smiling. I am definitely intrigued.
Love the sunset. Shahid is walking casually when Rani next to him is defineitely Balle Balle ?ing and when they lie on the hay stack. ? VIP ad flashback. Gillig gilli gilli Also love the cycling shot of his while Rani is walking beside him.
Wow, looks like she has a lot of batting skills, love her determined look when she bats. Go RANI!
AND the dialogue delivery. SHAHID, you have outdone yourself.
I splurtered out when he said Jhali pulli and OMG- special occasion ? ADITYA ADITYA! And I LOST it when he said Kaampatition with the black bhaislow. I was in stiches, the way he carried off so well. LMAO.
And when Rani retorts ?You think you very jokey? ? YOU have got to hand it to this pair. BRAVO. Guranteed you are going to be laughing throughout the entire movie. She has something that Kareena didn?t have as the Geet character. Rani is so much more enthusiastic.
I was thinking what happened to the whole Rani as a Sardarji look. At first, I see a typical Punjabi movie with all the dancing and her batting in between, and then I got doubtful why on earth aren?t they showing her dressed as a man. And then the MR Rani makes her entrance. What a transformation! And love Shahid?s determined, focused, attitude when he sets the rule. You can see this means a lot and he has the approach of ?Its my way or the highway? Ooh and the sunglasses around his neck is so much sexier! You can see his eyes! When he said dictionary ? for somem reason I kept hearing thw word ?Shahictionary ?instead
AND I swear I dies when I saw his hair flip. Aaahaaha…I think I am on drugs. I cant even begin to explain. He brings a whole new meaning to the term ?HOT? Actually forget hot, he is friking BLAZING!
Ooh and I love Rani so much! The comical look she gives him in contrast to the determined glare he has as he gets ready to bowl. LOVE IT.
I am really in seventh heaven. Rani?s comeback is with this epic film. And I feel annoyed with myself to think that I doubted Shahid for that 0.0001% I am sorry, but never will I ever doubt Shahid. Never in a million years would I thought the pairing would work, but it is REMARKABLE! I love the whole Punjabi angle with dances in between and to be able to see SHAHID, the sweet old guy back is truly a heart warming feeling. THE Dictionary is so short of words to describe our Shahid. I am turning backflips here when he smiles. Such a vibrant and colourful film, I can already see the label ?SUPER HIT? all across it. And to think that they have the whole ?bat & bowl? is another added plus as this is new to the typical Bollywood stories. Whoo.
I am Oomphing now. Can?t wait for this. Absolutely incredible. I am so happy for Rani and even more happier that it is Shahid.

NIKS! I LOVED IT! HILARIOUS and oh, so true! Definitely noticed the earphones. I think that was cut for the trailer. I am assuming that in the actual film they will show him taking off his earphones. After all, that wasn’t the full scene. I can’t WAIT to see Rani fall on him in the truck

I noticed the use of scarves too! He wore them throughout the trailer! Shahictionary xD

Shahid is the ULTIMATE cool dude, and he doesn’t need sunglasses and a motorcycle to make him cool! It just oozes out of him.

Absolutely right, Niks. Rani is a lot more enthusiastic than Kareena was. I swooned through the entire trailer. Rani is my favorite actress, and of course, if I had to say who my favorite actor was…YOU ALL would have to go to a mental hospital . But, I’m really, really happy that they’re looking SO good together.

The more I watch Shahid and Rani in this trailer, the more I am convinced that no matter what, the two of them will result in crackling chemistry and if nothing else, some super-duper-amazing visuals and banter. I really can’t wait!

Arrey , I Loved Rani Yaar ….what and English .
Rakhie is Looking as Item Girl as Possible n Sherlyn is Looking Like sum Desi Modern Indian Girl .
——————————-

The colour, the charisma, the comedy, the lead couple! Oye hoye, we’re definitely in for a treat!

I’m bowled over! It’s surreal to see my fave actor and actress together on-screen. The way Rani carries herself in this promo is brilliant. I love her hinglish and cute sardar look. The chemistry between Shahid and Rani is definitely happening and they light up the screen! Their chemistry on the back of the truck is second to none – they’ve nailed it! I wasn’t expecting much from the movie as it hasn’t been in the limelight and hyped up as Kaminey, so seeing the trailer is a pleasant surprise. Dil Bole Haddipa doesn’t seem like one of those no-brainer comedies, of which many are out there, especially since it’s casting Rani. She’s done justice to her role (no surprise there) and it’s look fabulous! I love her cheerful I-jano-english attitude, she’s great to watch!
I’m loving Shahid as a punjabi munda, he looks so earthy and ruggedly handsome. Shahid as the serious cricket captain is also making my heart skip a few beats, the flick of his hair and that extremely determined look sawed right through me.

The dialogues are hilarious! The way Shahid delivers his lines is nothing under exceptional, I can say no different for Rani. ‘You think you’re very jokiee’ I’m going to use that line in real life from now on – it’s so useable! Shahid’s eyes and playful expression when he says his ‘competition’ dialogue on the truck is hysterical! Good one Shahid! Not to mention ‘the word defeat does not exist’ – he says it with such confidence and determination that it seems like nothing will be able to stop this guy!

On another note, did anyone else notice the ‘performance’ that Rani and Shahid seemed to be preparing for as well (on stage)? I wonder what that’s all about?

I love the Punjabi flavour in this trailer. It’s so vibrant and cheery! The music only adds to the already overflowing excitement.

I’m really eager for this movie. It doesn’t seem to look like a super hit, but it’ll most certainly be a biggish hit. The Sharani/Shani jodi is working beautifully and so is rani’s sardar character. I just hope this movie does well for Rani’s sake. The Bollywood film industry just doesn’t have great scripts or ‘room’ for this magnificentally talented woman. People are so used to the ‘beauty and no brains’ type of cinema where actresses are mostly watched for their looks. Rani is one actress who can balance both a bold performance and beauty. She is the true rani of Bollywood and I just hope that this film (the collections) will do her skills justice!

Hmm I see that everyone is on a DBH high as avi’s and sigs are everywhere! Great to see!
I think my post may sound a little under-excited but I’ve barely had the chance to see the trailer – only about 3 times till now have I been able to watch it!
——————————————-

I just want to say that whatever you said about the remarkable chemistry of Shahid-Rani, the SUPER-HIT label written all over the movie, the colourful scenes and costumes of the movie, Shahid’s BLAZING hotness, the enthusiastic Rani who outperforms Kareena’s same enthusiasm in JWM, and most of all how you always hear the word Shahictionary when you hear Shahid say Dictionary….I couldn’t agree more with them. Especially the Shahictionary one, you wouldn’t believe it, but the immediate thought that struck me when he said that was ‘How does he know about Shahictionary?..has he visited SO before and read our Shahictionary thread?’….only to realise that ‘oh, it’s dictionary he had said’…lol.

I LOVED LOVED LOVED LOVED your comments, Nikz

And about Sherylin, it’s quite likely like you all say that Shahid could be in love with her already, or maybe she could be in love with him. And Sherylin doesn’t look all that bad as what I thought earlier .Whatever the case, I just hope she doesn’t share much screen space with Shahid.I really cant bear to see her hitting on Shahid in the most awful way. I am OK with Rakhi, though I dont like her much, as she will only be hitting on Rani.
